These AWESOME scales are created by using a seed pod that falls from the Banksia Trees in Australia.

After cutting & cleaning these are cast in resin, using a pressure/vacuum process, filling the natural voids where the seeds have fallen out.  

These scales are very futuristic & "Sci-fi" looking.
